From september 26 to september 28, La Escocesa, Centre de Creació will host the 3rd La Escocesa's Festival de Murales

The third edition of the International Mural Festivat at "La Escocesa", 26 - 27 September, converts again the courtyard of this former textile factory in Poblenou, Barcelona, in an artistic playground.

TOP2014: Intervención artística de Labuenaylamala a la chimenea de La Escocesa

En esta Intervención artística, Labuenaylamala realiza un mural en las inmediaciones del edificio de La Escocesa, más concretamente en la chimenea de origen industrial que se sitúa destacada en el patio central.

Un mural escultórico que finalizará evocando la importancia de este hermoso elemento, símbolo de Poblenou , cuando tiempo atrás regía esta antigua fábrica textil.

Come and visit La Escocesa's visual artists studios. La Escocesa will be open for three days to show the artists' works and for concerts, exhibitions, performances and much more...

Friday, the 23rd from 19 to 22h

Sunday, the 25th from 11 to 14 and from 17 to 21h

Artists and craftsmen's studios and Visual Arts and Exhibition centers in Poblenou (district of San Martin) will be open during the weekend of the 24th and 25th of May, 2014.

The Poblenou studios and creative centers will be open during this weekend and in September. All visitors are welcome to know their work, learning processes and techniques, discovering the area and centers where are located.

19 art centers and and more than 120 artists - mainly oriented on visual and plastic arts - will be involved in this edition.

Mike Watt vs. Raymond Pettibon: The importance of the artwork in the contemporary musician releases

La Escocesa and Hangar are organizing an artist talk with the musician – artist Mike Watt (Minutemen, Firehose, Iggy Pop, Mike Watt...) during his short visit to Barcelona as part of his European tour. This well-known musician (and United States underground art activist) will show us his vision and experience related with the graphic art of his music releases and promotion of his projects, with a special consideration of his works with the visual artist Raymond Pettibon.

Desentranyar convida a conèixer el món creatiu de Paul Daly i Juan Francisco Segura. Tots dos aproﬁtaran aquesta oportunitat per presentar les seves diferents línies de treball i compartir les seves darreres troballes i inquietuds artístiques.

Tranquilidad, calma, placidez, presencia de espíritu, filosofía… son algunos de los valores que busca Juan Francisco en el interior de sus lienzos. Serenidad y presencia de espíritu para esta muestra, en obras sobre madera.
